When you brush your teeth you should do it twice a day - when you get up in the morning and before you go to bed at night. In the morning you wash away the bacteria that have gathered on your teeth while you sleep.
If you have problems with dry mouth at night this is particularly crucial. Your saliva takes care of your teeth when you don't brush, but if you don't produce enough saliva you will have a problem.
When you brush at night you prepare your teeth for the time period when all you have is your saliva to do the job. If you suffer from dry mouth, again, this is an important brushing.
